Divorce Law and Prenuptial Agreements - YouTube Divorce Tirade

We certainly don't recommend doing what Ms. Walsh-Smith did by posting a video on YouTube slamming her husband. The Chicago Tribune covered the video in detail and the reactions of New York divorce lawyers. While this kind of thing may feel good in the short term, the embarrassment caused to her husband will likely cause him to be as aggressive as possible in fighting her in their divorce case. She should expect no conciliation or collaborative participation in settling this case. Furthermore, the video could be used as evidence by the attorneys for her husband to demonstrate Ms. Walsh-Smith's lack of judgment and perhaps attack her character using the video. The internet is forever. Emails, text messages, voice mails, photos, and videos should never be transmitted or posted online in the heat of the moment. They can come back to haunt the sender later.
